The Story Behind UFC

After more than 20 years in the professional beauty industry, Gary and Laurie Spellman – Austin, Texas based Distributors of John Paul Mitchell Systems – identified a niche in their industry. After years of listening to and working with their professional salon customers, they saw a need for a professional cosmetics line that supported the needs of the modern day stylist. Thus in 2002, Ultimate Face Cosmetics was born. A custom formulated, color cosmetic line founded on three basic principles: Education, Fashion, and Philanthropy; Ultimate Face was created with the professional stylist and their clients in mind.

Building strong relationships and a loyal customer base along the way, 2011, marked not only the 10th anniversary of Ultimate Face but also the addition of a power partner – Eloise DeJoria. The actress and spokes model became a partner in the company and introduced the element of on-set experience. This “view from the other side of the camera” helped to spark the creation of new collections and products keeping the company on the cutting edge.
